Teacher's Pet

It is that time of year when a thank you to teachers needs to be thought about. Last year, when I plainly had far too much time on my hands, I did lovely boxes full of goodies for the teachers.

This year there will be my Teacher Thank You Gift boxes which I hope they will like.

The boys really love helping get the presents ready but I guess when they are at secondary school this will become a thing of the past ... am I right in thinking this is just a primary school thing?

Please like Daisyley's Facebook Page ... is it right to ask people to like you?

I really don't understand the whole Facebook Business page thing. I'm hoping that if/when I get 25 'likes' it will suddenly become easier and the 'point of it all' more apparent.

So if you're reading this
{which you obviously are or you wouldn't have read that bit} could you do me a HUGE favour and just pop over to Facebook and press the like button. I'll let you know if I understand it more when I reach the golden 25.

Since writing this several days ago I've since learnt that the Likes have to be from personal pages not business pages. Why oh why do they have to make it so complicated? Anyway could you please like it from your personal Facebook page .... thank you!

My Beautiful Sons

For reasons that have not become apparent the boys decided to have their faces painted with butterflies at the school fair. Odd, considering the years I've tried to get them to have their faces painted with a spiderman or pirate but obviously I was plainly way off course and should have suggested butterflies!?!

Very kindly their headteacher did come up to me and say that it showed they had good self esteem and confidence and that they were in touch with their feminine side! Ummm I bet secretly she was thinking they were just weird.

He really loved his sparkly nail polish ... !

Oooo that brace ... good to have photos for prosperity!

Daisy, Daisy Give Me Your Answer Do ...

Zoe from Inspired Celebration did a great blog post this week called Inspiration Daisies which reminded me of all the fantastic daisy photos I've been storing away on Pinterest.

My fixation with daisies has even gone as far as my perfume because I've started wearing Daisy by Marc Jacobs. At first I just tried it because I liked the bottle but then, when I smelt it again on the coat I was wearing out shopping that day, I decided I really liked it so went back and bought a bottle. I got a free bag with it too which has some great daisy badges on but I'm not much of a badge sort of person ... what can I do with them?

{Just as an aside click here if you'd like to know the origins of Daisy, Daisy}

Patriotic Boy?

I had a request from a notonthehighstreet customer to do my large bunting with just red and blue lettering on white card. I often wonder where my bunting ends up and who it is for - so I'm wondering today if Freddie is a very patriotic boy or perhaps he's having a red, blue and white party? Who knows ... I'd really like it if each customer sent me photos of their party after the event with full details!

Happy Father's Day

Ken Howard 1933 - 2002

My dad - who is still talked about at parties (!), is missed all the time
and who I wish was still around to have a chat to.

Little Fluffy Chicks

Hen number 1 (well I don't think it is hen number 2) has successfully hatched three chicks. Not sure she's the best mum in the world but she's doing her best and so far things seem to be going quite well. Let's hope they are three little girls rather than boys!

They are gorgeous and I can hear them shuffling around tweeting outside as I sit at my desk - ahhh. They are very, very sweet.

{Ed is convinced they are cockerels ... but how does he know this? He doesn't he is just the eternal pessimist methinks.}
